Welcome to the website of the German
Light Railway Museum in Deinste<\/h1>\n\n

A journey with the steam train <\/strong> through the \"Stader Feldmark\" <\/span><\/h2>\n\n

The DFKM has been running a railway museum on a 600 mm narrow-gauge light railway for more than 50 years. On all museum days (Dates<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>)<\/mark>, we take our guests on a journey in a train consisting of historic passenger carriages hauled by a steam locomotive<\/strong>.
At good weather, an open freight train with original diesel light railway locomotives is also used.<\/p>\n\n

Among the locomotives <\/strong>, the Henschel 20925 steam locomotive<\/strong> is our main attraction. The museum also has 14 operational diesel locomotives and one electric locomotive (not operational). The rolling stock ranges from hand-pushed tipper wagons to four-axle passenger wagons.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Museum days Easter 2026<\/h1>\n\n\n

We would like to thank our many visitors<\/strong> who attended our Easter 2026 museum days. We were delighted to see so many of you there. We hope that, like the members of the DFKM, you enjoyed your visit to us (and the \u2018Easter Bunny\u2019). It was truly a very successful start to our museum days in 2026. After a museum day, we naturally begin preparations for the next event on 24\u201325 May 2026<\/a><\/strong><\/mark> in Deinste. Perhaps you will visit us again.
