The club therefore decided to carry out the following work.<br><strong>Technical work on the locomotive:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color eplus-wrapper wp-elements-40415dfdb0a9cc81db4aac9f74807c1c eplus-styles-uid-5f0878\"><li style=\"font-size:15px\" class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">The shift fork for third gear was worn out. The problem was solved by reversing the fork<\/li>\n\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\" class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">A thorough service was carried out on the engine. The oil was changed and all filters and the drive belt for the alternator were replaced.<\/li>\n\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\" class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">The rag joint was very worn and had to be replaced with a new joint<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color eplus-wrapper wp-elements-623bc59ab2e32bba33ca7435f416a717\" style=\"font-size:17px\"><strong>Optical works<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ol style=\"font-size:15px\" class=\"wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-242e2e\"><li style=\"font-size:15px\" class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">The locomotive was completely dismantled.<\/li>\n\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\" class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">The old paint has been completely sanded off<\/li>\n\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\" class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">The larger dents were removed<\/li>\n\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\" class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">The bonnet and driver's cab were straightened<\/li>\n\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\" class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">Several holes in the driver's cab and a considerably large hole in the bonnet were closed<\/li>\n\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\" class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">The locomotive was repainted to match the livery of the DR's LKM V15<ul class=\"wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-59bb59\"><li class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">Blue for the body and front of the frames<\/li>\n\n<li class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">White trim strip<\/li>\n\n<li class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">Wheels and frame in black<\/li>\n\n<li class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">The interior was painted in light grey.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>\n\n<li style=\"font-size:15px\" class=\"eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-eb50a4\">The labelling was applied at the end<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color eplus-wrapper wp-elements-a19a8a3577c8281a320d32ec1194e4df\" style=\"font-size:15px\">The restoration required around 250 hours of work. These were completed during the 2024 works week. The locomotive can now be used again in its new look as a shunting locomotive in L\u00fctjenkamp.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns eplus-wrapper is-layout-flex
