October steam at the DFKM on October 03, 2026
With the Henschel steam locomotive from 1927 you will travel in the army field railway car from 1919 on October 3rd, 2026 from the historic Deinster train station to the Lütjenkamp Museum through the Stade Feldmark and back. The journey, including a visit to the museum shed, takes approx. 50 minutes. The grill at the train station and the kiosk in the museum shed ensure your physical well-being. Departures take place every hour from 10:40 a.m. to 3:40 p.m..
The open-air museum's opening hours are from 10.30 a.m. til 4.30 p.m.

In fine weather, the open lorry train with historic diesel locomotive runs from Deinster station through the fields to the new end of the line every hour from 11:10 - 16:10. Possibility to change between steam and seat locomotive train in Lütjenkamp. (see Time table)
The hand lever trolley is available for physical exercise.

Watch the craftsmen at the museum service, all repairs and maintenance are performed by the volunteer members.
The Lütjenkamp museum shed houses a travelling exhibition featuring stationary steam engines in operation.
Most of the DFKM's diesel locomotives are exhibited throughout the museum area.
