Restoration of a HAWA army field railway car from Hanover-Linden

Once the 1919 carriage had been salvaged, it was found to be in a very poor condition. Steel and wood work were required and the entire paintwork had to be renewed.

The floor is installed.

The side panels are installed.

The window cut-outs are fitted.

The roof is put in place.
The wood used was predominantly larch. The roof is varnished natural, all walls are stained darker and varnished.

The car is privately owned, but the DFKM has the right to use it.
