Deutz 12553

Humboldt-Deutz-Motoren AG, Cologne, delivered our diesel locomotive 19 on 19 June 1934 to the construction company Martin Möller in Worpswede, which donated the locomotive to the DFKM in May 1979 together with diesel locomotives 14, 18, 20 and 21.

Diesel locomotive 19 was parked outside for a long time, so that the external condition was very poor. The 7 tonne weights, which were mounted on the side of the frame to increase the tractive force, were quickly removed by Martin Möller. However, the 2-stroke diesel engine could be started on arrival in Deinste.

After many uses in shunting and passenger train service, it was placed alongside in Lütjenkamp in 1987 and was last in operation in 2005. From August 2020 it was overhauled by members of the DFKM. A mechanical gearbox with a 2-cylinder 2-stroke diesel engine is installed.

The locomotive is ready for operation
