A journey with the steam train through the "Stader Feldmark"

The DFKM has been running a railway museum on a 600 mm narrow-gauge light railway for more than 50 years. On all museum days (Dates), we take our guests on a journey in a train consisting of historic passenger carriages hauled by a steam locomotive.
At good weather, an open freight train with original diesel light railway locomotives is also used.

Among the locomotives , the Henschel 20925 steam locomotive is our main attraction. The museum also has 14 operational diesel locomotives and one electric locomotive (not operational). The rolling stock ranges from hand-pushed tipper wagons to four-axle passenger wagons.

Spring in Deinste railroad country - museum days on 24. and 25.05.2026

At Pentecost (24 - 25.05.2026) you will travel with the Henschel steam locomotive from 1927 in the 1919 army field railway carriage from the historic Deinster station to Lütjenkamp-Museum through the Stade Feldmark and back. The trip, including a visit to the museum shed, takes about 50 minutes. The barbecue at the station and the kiosk in the museum shed will provide refreshments. IG Modellbahn has set up an H0 model railway layout there with a track length of 13.5 meters!
The museum in Lütjenkamp opens until 5.00 p.m.

Departures with the Henschel steam locomotive take place every hour from 10:40 - 15:40.

In fine weather, the open lorry train with historic diesel locomotive runs from Deinster station through the lush cornfield to the new end of the line every hour from 11:10 - 16:10. Possibility to change between steam and seat locomotive train in Lütjenkamp. (see Time table)

The hand lever trolley is available for physical exercise.
