Scheduled museum days

The Field and small railways museum opens in 2025 on the following days:

On these days the Henschel steam locomotive will be used in front of the trains (except on Diesel Day).

If the steam locomotive cannot be operated, it will be replaced by a diesel locomotive.

The steam train departs every hour between 10:40 and 15:40 from Deinste station. A journey including a visit to the museum takes around 50 minutes.

When demand is high and the weather is fine, an open diesel train is also used. This runs every hour between 11.10 am and 4.10 pm to the end of the Rehncampe line. Due to the expected temperatures, the lorry train is not running to Nikolaus. All passenger cars are heated with iron stoves.

Tickets are issued before train departure at Deinste station. Advance booking is not necessary.

The ticket price is:

6,00 € for adults
3,00 € for children

A St Nicholas and Easter a surprise for all children is included in the admission price.

Special presentations

Outside of our operating days, we offer special trips for interested groups and companies.

Depending on requirements and weather conditions, an open or closed passenger train with a diesel locomotive can be used.

On special trips, we run the complete track from Deinste station to Rehncampe. This is about 2 kilometres in total.

From there, we return to the Lütjenkamp museum shed. There our guests may relax, rest and enjoy a cup of coffee and pastry. Refreshments and snacks are available by arrangement at the museum.

It is possible to bring your own food and drinks!

Sufficient car parking is available in front of our museum.

The ticket price for the Diesel train is:

8,00 € per adult
4,00 € per child
but at least 240 € per special trip.

We can organise a place setting with coffee and cake from €10.00 per person. This includes 2 pieces of cake and coffee. n und Kaffee bodenlos.
