The Gmeinder 10/12 was delivered first to the construction machinery dealership Puls & Bauer in Hamburg, which procured it for Rosseburg-Bau GmbH in Dahlem. Sold to HKL Baumaschinen in Lübeck in 1987, it was exhibited there on a pedestal as a monument locomotive.

From 1997, the locomotive was refurbished by HKL in Roggentin near Rostock, from where it then came to the DFKM in Deinste in 2010. In 2021, the injection pump was repaired and the locomotive was restarted after a long time. A mechanical gearbox with 1 cylinder 4-stroke diesel engine is installed.
