Struever 60457

The company Ad. Strüver, Aggregatebau in Hamburg delivered our diesel locomotive 33 to Wilhelm Gress in Bremen on 20 February 1959. On 21 November 1963, the Bremen construction company Siemer & Müller purchased the "Schienenkuli". After it had been parked there, the DFKM was able to take it over on 24 November 1982 in an operational but poor external condition.
The refurbishment of the vehicle was tackled immediately and in June 1983 it was put into operation.
The "Schienenkuli" is the smallest diesel locomotive built in series. The horizontal single-cylinder MAH 711 engine, which is mounted on a conventional trolley underframe, has an evaporative cooler. The brightly polished signalling bell is important for museum operation.
The Strüver is ready for operation.
