Restauration of Deutz-Diesellocomotive PMZ117F
Locomotive 19 is a Deutz PMZ 117 and was refurbished in 2020 after being parked for around 10 years. Approx. 200 hours were spent on the locomotive until completion.

The following work was performed:
- The radiator was repaired and the leaks eliminated
- New oil separation system at the exhaust
- Lubricating oil return line connected
- Diesel leakage oil line replaced
- Water pump repaired
- Rods for the whistle installed
- Engine seals and gaskets replaced

The water cooler is soldered; cooperation between generations ensures that old expertise is preserved
The locomotive had to be completely sanded down for the new paintwork. In some cases, up to four layers of paint had to be removed. The engine cover was taken off to ease restauration work.
The locomotive has been painted in ruby red and black.
